- Measure the size — Use a tape measure to get the length, width, and height.
- Check the weight — Most items can be weighed on a normal household scale.
- Be as exact as possible — Estimates are fine, but wrong numbers may lead to extra charges.
- How we charge — We compare actual (dead) weight with cubic (volume) weight and bill whichever is higher.
- Give us your best guess — length, width, height, and weight.
- We will measure and weigh the freight when it arrives.
- If our numbers are higher, we must charge the difference.
- Tip: Ask the sender for specs or use a tape measure and household scale to avoid extra fees.
Our regular network accepts pieces up to 4.2 metres (about 13’ 9″) in length.
Anything longer is classed as “oversize” and needs a special quote and handling plan. Email us the exact length and weight and we’ll arrange a tailored rate.
Yes. Same-day pickup requires booking before 12:00 pm (midday).
Cut-off times can differ by area, so the safest option is to place your booking one day before the pickup date.
- Same-Day — Arrives the same day if booked before cut-off.
- Overnight — 1–2 business days.
- Road Express — 2–5 business days for most locations.
- Road Express (remote) — 2–7 business days.
- Unpackaged freight — Up to 21 days. Need it sooner? We can arrange packaging to speed things up.
A consignment note (“con-note”) is the shipping label that goes on your parcel before pickup. It has all delivery details and a barcode for tracking.
- Online bookings — Emailed with your booking confirmation.
- Phone bookings — Emailed the afternoon before collection.
